Caregivers Training Grant (CTG)

Caregivers Training Grant (CTG)
The Caregivers Training Grant is a $200 annual subsidy that lets caregivers attend approved courses to better care for their loved ones.
The $200 subsidy is provided for each care recipient every financial year (from April to March the following year).
If more than 1 caregiver would like to attend training for the same care recipient, the $200 would need to be shared among the family members.
The list of courses available under the Caregivers Training Grant can be found on this e-calendar. Depending on the course, the trainer could conduct the class in your home, or in a classroom at a training centre. You can also use a computer or other electronic devices to learn, by watching videos and reading training materials.
According to the Agency of Integrated Care, you must pay at least $10 course fees after registering for a course.

Benefits
- $200 / year for approved caregiver training course
- This can be used for eligible caregivers of the care recipient, including foreign domestic workers if they are the main caregivers of the person with disability.
Find out more about existing government grants and subsidies you can get via our Policy Summary Page.

Eligibility
- The care recipient must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- The care recipient must be aged 65 and older, OR have a disability as by a qualified healthcare practitioner
- The caregiver must be the person in charge of caring for the care recipient (this can include family members and foreign domestic workers).
- The caregiver must complete the training course and receive a certificate of attendance if there is one.
Take note that the grant is tied to the care recipient, not the number of caregivers. If there is more than one caregiver taking care of the same person, all of them are eligible for the grant, but it is still capped at $200 per year.
For example, if there are two caregivers taking care of Mrs Foong , the total grant still amounts to $200 per year and not $400, as there is only one care recipient.
