Why is palliative care important?
Palliative care can improve the quality of life for a person with a life-limiting condition.
However, because palliative care involves caring for the body, mind, and spirit of an individual, it can be a lot for a family caregiver to undertake. In fact, a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, therapists, social workers and counsellors usually work together to deliver holistic palliative care.
Having someone around who understands your loved one’s conditions and care needs, and a professional who can look after your loved one during this time, can be reassuring.

Reviews from Our Customers
Pleasant experience, patient and understanding nurses
“I contacted Homage for private nursing care at home for my mother who is a terminal cancer patient. The experience so far has been pleasant. The assessment was done by a very senior nursing professional and the nursing care staff has been very helpful, patient and understanding. Their way of handling my mother who has multiple insertions in helping her with her toilet needs, bathing and changing clothes etc was satisfying.”

One of the best home care services
“One of the best home care services! All the nurses are great and handled my loved one with care, they are detailed when taking care of my parent-in-law. They focus on hygiene and make sure my father-in-law stays active, which I feel very delighted by when seeing him in good hands.”

Top questions about Palliative Care
Are palliative, hospice and end-of-life care the same?
While palliative, hospice and end-of-life care provide comfort and aim to improve the quality of life of those battling life-threatening illnesses, they are not the same.
Hospice care, also known as end-of-life care, happens when the goal is no longer to treat and help an individual recover from the condition, but to improve the quality of life and to support them as they live to their fullest for the remaining days.
Palliative care encompasses end-of-life or hospice care but is not only for people who are terminally ill. A person can be undergoing treatment to cure their condition while getting palliative care at the same time, to cope with the symptoms of the illness or treatment.
Is palliative care only needed in the end-of-life stage?
Many Singaporeans have the misconception that palliative care only occurs at the end of one’s life. However, palliative care can be provided regardless of one’s stage of illness and whether the person is receiving medical treatment.
A person can still receive palliative care while receiving treatment.

What our customers say
Right from the start from signing up for an account, to making a booking on the app, to the confirmation of a Care Asst and to the whole visit concluding, its all a seamless and worry free process. Loved this service and would recommend it to anyone who requires the extra pair of hands and legs
Have been using this for a year to help my grandfather who frequently gets aspiration pneumonia and has difficulty leaving the house. The app is so easy to use, and the cherry on top is the wonderful service behind the app. Had some difficulty finding a doctor recently and Hakim called me back personally twice to ensure a doctor was found. Thank you so much, cannot recommend this app more.
Very responsive app, with options to chat with caregiver, review reports and contact support team for assistance.
My mum’s helper was hospitalised suddenly and I needed urgent help to take care of my mum who has advanced dementia. Homage was able able to find caregivers for my mum within a very short notice. The caregivers possessed the skill sets that I had requested and were of great help to me in my time of need. Thank you Homage!
Homage CP render their professional service to my dad who is a dialysis patient. CP assigned to wheel my dad to & fro from Dialysis Center within 300m walking distance. They are capable to load & unload my dad from wheelchair independently. They are friendly too. I'm looking forward to their next visit.
Had a good experience with Homage's teleconsultation. The doctor is qualified, friendly and guided me on examination. She also explained my symptoms to me in detail, which is useful. The report provided has detailed information, and medicine was delivered to me on the same day even though my appointment was in the evening.
Response from Homage is fast. And the physiotherapist assigned is professional in assessing and guiding my mom in her session.
