Here are some healthy tips for you to feast healthily as you plan for your reunion dinner.
1. Pay attention to what you are eating
When it comes to food (especially addictive snacks like bak kwa), we tend to get carried away as we eat and chat with our relatives. Be conscious of what you are consuming and if possible, do also request healthier options for your CNY meals. Most restaurants can accommodate special health requests such as substituting certain ingredients or using less oil or salt. You could also consider trying out the various Chinese New Year vegetarian menus to start your year off with a more healthful reunion.
2. Stay active as much as possible
While we may be tempted to indulge, we should always balance this out with some exercises to keep fit and healthy.
