Job Description

Homage’s short-term contract nurses are responsible for supporting the delivery of care at one of our many partner organisations for approximately 3 to 6 months. Enrolled nurses will need to demonstrate high standards of patient care in clinical nursing procedures, be able to provide counselling & education to support patients from our partner organisations when necessary, and be willing to help out with ad-hoc needs that may arise.

There are a variety of opportunities available across different facilities. Eg. Nursing Home, Senior Care Centre, Private Hospitals, Restructured Hospitals

Responsibilities

As a short-term contract nurse with Homage, you will be executing the following responsibilities in your job:

Provide nursing care to patients of different ages according to hospital policies
Work closely with the nursing team to ensure to the deliver quality, timely and continuous care to patients
Interacting with patients to better understand their needs
Perform front-counter and administrative duties
Conduct rounds to ensure patients are well and safe. Report any abnormalities for immediate treatment and following up with progress of the patients
Identify problems related to illness and decline in functional and cognitive abilities, and advocate for early medical attention
Observing, measuring and recording patients’ vital statistics and reporting changes in patient’s conditions to RNs and doctors
(For Nursing Homes) Serving of medication and updating medication chart under the supervision of the nursing team

Qualifications & Requirements

2 years of hospital ward experience
Minimum commitment of 3 months
Valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license
Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support + Automated External Defibrillator (BCLS + AED) certificate
Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)
