Care Support Manager

ROLE DESCRIPTION 

Homage is seeking a Care Support Team Lead who enjoys working with the people at the heart of Homage: our Customers and Care Professionals. In the Care Support (Community) team, we’re focused on supporting quality long-term care delivery to publicly subsidised clients of Social Service Agencies (SSA) and Volunteer Welfare Organisations (VWO).

You will be responsible for managing a team of support operators that form a key pillar of customer service by performing client care coordination, incident management and daily operational support to our partner SSAs and VWOs. 

This role reports to the Head of Partnerships (Community) and is part of the Community segment within the Business to Government (B2G) business unit. This is mostly through email, but also involves some telephone and in-person support too.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent with stakeholder management and able to provide high quality customer service, while coaching others to do the same
  • Calm under pressure and capable of solving disputes and incidents
  • Strong leader with good people management skills and experience
  • Highly motivated and resourceful in solving problems
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data, and proactively uses them to report on performance and inform decision-making
  • Excellent writing skills, and is able to produce high-quality written content
  • Able to manage a team of operators on a roster and drive operational processes and workflows to optimise efficiency and care management outcomes

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Empathetic and good with people
  • Great at problem solving
  • Has excellent writing skills, and is able to produce high-quality written content
  • Able to communicate effectively within the organisation to get the help and answers you need
  • Comfortable working with numbers and data
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, with experience working in hospitality, customer service, or a similar environment preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of people management
  • Have a passion for social enterprises and causes as well as driven by Homage’s core mission and motivated by the impact of our services and platform.
