Head of People Operations

RESPONSIBLITIES
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
Manage and oversee the recruitment and selection process
Develop and implement strategies to improve Homage’s employer branding among the community
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
Nurture a positive working environment
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management
Work closely with the the local People Operations Team on the development, execution of global strategic projects and engagement projects
Work with internal business leaders on understanding their vision and develop roadmaps in line with their goals
Own local payroll systems and rewards administration
Be a champion of the Homage culture
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent is preferable.
At least 5-8 years of experience in HR role in Malaysia, supervisory role is preferred
Strong knowledgeable of Malaysia Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, and other
relevant legal requirements or governmental guidelines and SOPsExperience in payroll administration, or management of payroll vendor in Malaysia (plus)
Strong communicator and is able to drive public forums
Experience in prioritising different functions and tasks while managing their work time
Experience working in multi stakeholder setting is a plus
Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
